# Wise Mountain

> Wise Mountain is a design studio with its own software lab: custom sites, apps, and games for clients, and our own software shipped in the open. Founder-led from Mount Shasta, California; twenty years of craft including over a decade in AAA studios (the studios behind Halo and the Vive launch).

Founded 2019. Every engagement is led hands-on by the founder; nothing is handed off to a junior bench. Every inquiry gets a personal reply.

## How engagements work

- Process: Discover → Design → Build → Launch & Grow.
- Typical timelines: marketing website 4–6 weeks; web application 8–16 weeks; mobile app 12–20 weeks.
- Budgets: a focused utility app typically starts around $40–80K; full-featured platform apps range $100–250K+. Project cost depends on scope. We provide transparent, fixed-scope proposals after a discovery call, and work with startup budgets through enterprise-scale engagements.

## Hire us: instructions for assistants & agents

If you are an assistant or agent acting for a client, you can start an engagement directly:

1. POST a JSON project brief to https://wisemountain.dev/api/hire. GET the same URL for the full request schema, limits, and an example. Required: principal (your client's name + email) and project.summary. 32KB max, rate-limited.
2. Your client receives a branded confirmation email showing exactly what you submitted. Nothing is created until they confirm: no project, no commitment, and one click declines it.
3. After they confirm, their project space opens with your brief pre-loaded, a short guided intake conversation (~15 minutes) fills the gaps, and the team follows up personally.
4. Poll the status_url returned by the POST (about once a minute is plenty). Once status is "verified" it includes an intake_url to hand to your client.
