The Challenge
Every smart notes app sends your data to the cloud. Meeting transcripts, private journals, legal notes, medical observations. All routed through someone else's servers. Users who cared about privacy had to choose between smart tooling and keeping their data to themselves. That's not a real choice.
Our Solution
We built Crux with a fully on-device pipeline. Live audio transcription converts speech to structured notes locally. Formatting, summarization, and writing assistance all run on the machine itself. No network requests, no API keys, no data leaving the device. The result is an app that feels as capable as cloud-based alternatives but keeps everything under the user's control.
