The Challenge
Every smart notes app sends your data to the cloud. Meeting transcripts, private journals, legal notes, medical observations — all routed through someone else's servers. Users who cared about privacy had to choose between smart tooling and keeping their data to themselves. That's not a real choice.
Our Solution
We built Crux with a fully on-device pipeline. Live audio transcription converts speech to structured notes locally. Formatting, summarization, and writing assistance all run on the machine itself — no network requests, no API keys, no data leaving the device. The result is an app that feels as capable as cloud-based alternatives but keeps everything under the user's control.
