The Challenge

343 Industries was taking over the Halo franchise from Bungie for the first time with Halo 4. The studio needed to honor the series' legacy while establishing its own visual and gameplay identity — a high-stakes transition with millions of dedicated fans watching every detail.

Our Solution

Will served as Senior Gameplay Animator and led the assassination animation system — the cinematic melee takedowns that became a fan-favorite feature. His work also included conceptual animation, gameplay pre-visualization, and deep expertise with the proprietary Halo engine, making him a specialist other animators relied on for technical pipeline challenges.
