Halo: Reach

Gameplay animation, viewmodel animation, and pre-visualization on Bungie's final Halo title — a fan-beloved entry widely regarded as one of the best in the franchise.

Client

Bungie

Year

2010

The Challenge

Halo: Reach was Bungie's farewell to the franchise they created, and the studio was determined to make it their most ambitious and emotionally resonant Halo game. The animation team needed to deliver both the precise, responsive gameplay feel Halo is known for and a more cinematic, character-driven narrative than any previous entry.

Our Solution

Will contributed gameplay animation and viewmodel animation — the first-person weapon and ability systems that define how Halo feels in the player's hands — along with gameplay pre-visualization work that helped the team prototype and validate new mechanics before committing to full production.
