Positive Futures
A new home for Katie Sturtevant's leadership coaching, team training, and Enneagram workshops on California's Central Coast: warm editorial design built from her own words and workshop photography, with every page editable in place by the client.
The Challenge
Positive Futures had grown the way good practices in small towns grow: by word of mouth. Katie Sturtevant had moved from internal corporate coaching to public workshops and needed a site that carried her credibility to people who had not met her yet, made her services legible, gave the women's workshops a real home, and helped new clients find her. It also had to respect a brand identity she already owned, use her own copy and photography rather than ours, and let her change text, swap a flyer, or add a testimonial without waiting on a developer.
Our Solution
We designed in her client dashboard, round after round of styleboards with her pinned comments on each, and landed on a warm editorial system: a cream canvas, the teal and sand from her print style guide, serif headlines with italic accent words, and her own workshop photography in full color, with a quiet sticker layer for personality. The site runs on our in-place editor: double-click any text to change it, every save is a version, and shared testimonials update everywhere at once. Before launch she reviewed the live site by dropping pinned comments on the pages themselves, and each fix shipped as a versioned change. Launch day added structured data, FAQ sections, share cards, and a performance pass.
Results
Ten pages built entirely from Katie's own words and photographs, no stock and no ghostwriting
Editable in place: Katie was publishing her own testimonials and copy changes the day before launch
Structured data on every page and a home page trimmed from 2.9 MB to 0.65 MB
